Overview
Deep in our Waterloo research labs, the Legally Addictive Games Research Team came to the conclusion that we needed a unique hook to grab users. After several million dollars in research and development, they came up with GrasstopTD, which our congregation of scientists deems the most original tower defense map ever created. The designs that they presented were like none we had ever seen before, a beautiful combination of the battlefields of many great wars fought throughout history. It was too much to handle. Half of our staff quit, and the union threatened to if we released it. Even we objected at first, but its beauty could not be denied, and so finally, we caved. To our collective of casual gamers, from our desktop to your BlackBerry, we give you GrasstopTD.
GrasstopTD is all about mazing. There are two versions, one with one entrance, one with two. This map is big, which gives a lot of room to explore different mazing strategies. Two general approaches are to keep the attackers separate or try to get them to group up and run through the maze together. Another important consideration are the air units, which have only a short distance to travel to get to the exit regardless of the size of your maze.

Finally decided to take the top score back on this one… I was hoping to wait for the next update, but my grasp on the #1 slot for most maps has been challenged…
Thanks for the tip MM. I couldn’t analyze the scoring w/o more trial and error than I have time for. So I’ll see what I can do w/ your expert advice!
Here’s a tip… based on the way scoring in the game works mazing plays a huge role in getting the best possible score. Focus on getting the absolute longest possible path for the enemies to walk, and that will significantly help.
After that, focus on upgrading and pushing out waves faster. Money at the end doesn’t translate to total points as efficiently as upgrades.
MM – I’m dazed at your score. It’s about 60K above mine and I killed everything and lost no lives and used all the tower types and tried to figure out how to max score by balancing money and upgrades. But your score is insane! I’d like to challenge. But can’t. Yet.
Anyone want to challenge my high score here?
